The Austrian Parliament is delighted to be the first national parliament in history to co-host the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, together with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the United Nations (UN).
Due to the critical time, the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament and the 13th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament take place in two parts: the first was held virtually in August 2020 and the second in-person part is now planned to take place from 6-8 September 2021 in Vienna.
If you also plan to attend the First Global Parliamentary Summit on Counter-Terrorism, which will take place right after the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament on 9 September and is jointly organized by IPU and the UN, please find more information here.
The Austrian Parliament takes all necessary measures to guarantee a safe and comfortable stay. Therefore, on this website you will find all related service information for these topics: Public Health Information, Immigration Formalities - Visas, Embassies, Hotels and Transport.
Please note that the content of the Conference website depends on the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and related measures of the Austrian authorities. As such, the site will be continually updated, and we invite you to visit on a regular basis.
More information and relevant documents can also be found on the IPU website.
